Where we're gathering
TRUCKEE, TAHOE
Truckee, a historic California mountain town nestled in the Sierra Nevadas, will be our main hub for the week. It’s also where Devon was born, and spent the first chapter of her life.
20 minutes from the northern shores of Lake Tahoe, and 35 minutes from Reno NV.
The Lake Tahoe region is most famous for its winter scene, but it’s equally, if not more beautiful in the summer. We’re so excited for everyone to experience the magic of a Truckee Summer.

Truckee Regional Park, 10500 Brockway Rd, Truckee
Every Wednesday of the Summer, Truckee hosts free live music. Devon grew up going as a kid, and it’s become a favorite activity of ours when we visit. If you’re in town early, please join us! We’ll lay out some blankets, and enjoy the tunes.

Sand Harbor State Park, Incline Village, Nevada
We’ll take a beautiful 40 minute drive over to the Nevada shores of Lake Tahoe, where we have a beach spot reserved for the whole day. Consider this the welcome party!

We have a few ideas knocking around for Saturday. Check back later once we firm up the plans. River Float? Hang at the Docks?

WHERE to STAY
We have two room blocks arranged. The first is 1 Gravity Haus ($279). Gravity Haus is the same venue as our party. For anyone who plans to really let loose at the party, we’d love for you to stay here. No driving under the influence!
Just down the road is the 2 Tahoe Star Hotel ($220), conveniently located in the heart of downtown Truckee. It’s a 20 minute walk to the venue. This is a great option for anyone who prefers a cozy family inn vibe, wants to explore town during ‘off hours’, or needs ample caffeine access (it’s next door to our favorite coffee shop).

There are several other hotels in Truckee if you prefer: 3 The Best Western, 4 Martis Valley Lodge (Hilton), 5 Springhill Suites by Marriott, and 6 Hyatt Vacation Club at Northstar Village. Airbnb is a possibility but more difficult to come by.
Please note that these options are driving distance from the venue, and that taxi / uber / lyft are not readily available in town. Please have a plan for getting back safely.

To EAT Grab some treats at Little Truckee Creamery. Sandos at Full Belly Deli. For amazing pastries, direct yourself to Cornerstone Bakery.
To DRINK Our fav coffee is at Dark Horse. Something stronger? Say Peter sent you at Alibi Aleworks, or go sip on something at RMU. Keeping the party going? Shot-ski at Bar of America.
To EXPLORE Sit on the piers at Donner Lake. Hike Shirley Canyon Trail or take a walk along the Pyramid Trail. Wade, swim, or sit in the Truckee River. Play a round of golf. Gamble your life savings away in Reno.
HOW to GET HERE
For those flying in from afar, you have 3 main options:
Reno International Airport (RNO) about 35 min to Truckee
Sacramento International Airport (SMF) about 2 hr to Truckee
San Francisco International (SFO) about 4 hr to Truckee
Truckee does have its own train station that links to the Bay Area, and Alex would be delighted if you took it, but it’s probably not worth the hassle. While it is a scenic ride, it does span about 5-6 hr. We recommend renting a car for your trip!
QUESTIONS?
Are children invited to the wedding? Yes, if they’re well behaved! Otherwise they don’t get any dessert. 
Is there parking available at the venue? Yeah, there’s more than enough parking. Are dietary restrictions accommodated for the reception? They can be, if you let us know in advance!
